GLENN
CHANDLER - Director
of Maintenance
I
was born in England. My father retired from the U.S.
Air Force when I was six months old and we moved to
Fort Myers, Florida. From my earliest memories I have
been fascinated with flying machines. I graduated from
Riverdale High school in and went straight into the
U.S. Air Force myself. After Basic Training, I attended
aircraft maintenance school at Sheppard AFB in Texas.
From there I went to my first duty station at March
AFB, CA. where I was a KC-135A Crew Chief. As a crew
chief I got to travel to Guam, The Philippines, Alaska,
& England.
In 1986 I retrained
and became a C-141B Flight Engineer. As a Flight Engineer
I flew all over the world including operations Just
Cause, and Desert Storm.
I got married in1990
and started a family. In 1992 I separated from the Air
Force and got my A&P license. Being a military spouse
and moving frequently I was not always able to find
aviation related jobs. In 2002 we moved to Langley AFB
where my wife retired from the Air Force. I am happy
living in VA. And working for HeloAir.
