WHIT
BALDWIN - President
Upon
graduating from Mary Washington College in 1985 with
a degree in Business Administration, Whit began to work
toward receiving his pilot's license, which he earned
in 1987. Having obtained both an airplane and helicopter
license, Whit began his aviation career flying and reporting
the traffic around the Richmond area. With hard work
and dedication, he soon started his own company, HeloAir,
in 1992.
The company has
expanded exponentially since those early days. Over
the years, Whit has operated a number of helicopters,
including the MD 500, the Bell 222, and the Bell 430,
as well as his current fleet of Bell 206 Jet Rangers,
Long Rangers, 407's and 427.
Whit prides himself
on the company's safety record, immense diversity and
providing a family friendly workplace for the HeloAir
team. HeloAir takes a great amount of pride in being
able to provide helicopter aviation services to many
different sectors, including NASCAR, frost patrol, executive
charter, fire fighting, aerial photography, and electronic
news gathering to name a few. Over his distinguished
18-year career as a pilot, including 16 years as owner
and operator of HeloAir, Whit has accumulated over 10,000
hours of flight time all over the country.
Amidst his avid
professional pursuits, Whit has never lost sight of
the importance of giving back to the community that
has given him so much. He actively supports and participates
in many vital non-profit organizations, such as the
Boy Scouts of America, Comfort Zone Camp and the American
Cancer Society.
